Hey guys! I’m starting a new series on this blog to document my month. To see what went well, what didn’t, what I’m reading, watching, listening, etc. I want to share a bit more of me on my blog because I think it’s important that you guys get to know the person behind this blog. I’m a human, really!

What I’m reading
This month I completed The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks. It’s a super popular book so you might have heard about it. This book helps you uncover your hidden fear so you can live the life you dream of. It sounds wish washy, but believe me, it’s mind opening. Right at the beginning of the book I realised I have various ways that I sabotage myself without even knowing it. And that hidden fear behind it is the reason you aren’t living your dream life or achieving the things you want to achieve. I highly recommend you give it a read!

What I’m watching
Kiss me first*
Sherlock Holmes season 4
Elementary season 1

The Sherlock Holmes series is one of my absolute favourites! It’s a pity the seasons are so short. That’s when I decided to give the American version, Elementary, a try. It’s not even close to the British series, but I like it!

P.S. If you are under 18 don’t watch this series, kay?

What I’m listening to
Still listening to the Backstreet Boys’ new single
Gavin Degraw

What I’m loving
Liezl Jayne’s YouTube channel. I love Liezl’s channel not just because she’s South African ?, but because she has the best healthy food ideas and recipes. I’ve made her chocolate protein ball recipe lots of times and they are DIVINE. Definitely check her out!

What I’m working on
Since it’s not planner season, this month was all about wedding invitations. I don’t share my invitation designs on this blog because that’s not the topic here. But I love invitation design and I’ve been doing it for 4 years now. It’s my other source of income. I created two wedding invitation suites for my Creative Market shop. These templates are available for Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop users.

July highlights
My fiancé and I visited the Elgin Railway Market this month. The interior is simply mind blowing. It’s an old apple warehouse converted into a station market! The steam train is another must-see. It was incredibly crowded unfortunately but I’ll be going again when it’s hopefully quieter.

What went well this month
Ever since I started a new relaxing morning routine I have noticed a big difference. I used to be frazzled and anxious. Now I’m feeling more relaxed, my heart rate is down and I’m not in such a rush anymore. I still get that awful rushed feeling but now it’s just a few minutes a day, not the whole day, every day. I think this new, relaxed me can also be attributed to being still for a few minutes every day. Just me and my thoughts. It’s SO important.

What did not go well this month
I’ve been eating too many sweet treats lately and I think I can feel it on my jeans ?

What made me happy this month
You know you’re a clean freak when cleaning supplies make you happy ? I have a new handheld vacuum cleaner to pick up all my hair that’s everywhere in the house. It’s so satisfying ?

I’d love to hear from you! What have you been reading or watching? Let me know in the comments.
