Paint-by-numbers for Adults: a Relaxing Hobby

Paint by numbers for adults is a great way to relax and let your stress melt away.

Painting is not just a hobby for children. It can be an amazing way to spend your free time if you choose the right painting and the right project.

I remember as a kid I used to do paint by number colouring. It’s been years since I’ve tried it again. I was pleasantly surprised when Winnie’s Picks reached out to me to send me one of their paint-by-numbers kits for adults! The illustration I chose is called Cozy Reading by Yuelan Liu. I chose it because it features a girl reading in a room filled with plants. I’m a houseplant fanatic!

My kit arrived all the way from the United States to here in South Africa.

The kit came in a strong tube and inside was a high-quality linen canvas template and a plain paper template, an acrylic paint set, a reference image, and 4 paintbrushes.

As soon as I started painting the world around me disappeared and I was focused only on the painting. I put on some music and got myself a cup of tea and painted away.

The acrylic paint is of good quality and easy to paint with.

Here is my progress so far. I’ll update this post when I’ve completed the painting.

Not only is the paint-by-numbers kit a relaxing hobby, once you’re done with the painting you will have your own masterpiece to decorate your home with or a thoughtful gift.

Paint by numbers is one of the most relaxing hobbies that any adult can take up, especially those who are looking for a way to escape from work or other responsibilities.
